Yes or No Tools

Privacy Policy

Your tool data stays in your browser. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it and how to change your choices.

Effective

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Yes or No Tools collects when you visit yesornotools.com, and how that information is used.

The short version is simple. Our tools run in your browser, and what you type into them stays on your device. We use analytics to understand which pages and tools are popular, and you can turn analytics cookies off at any time.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or other contact details through the website.

Anything you enter into a tool, such as a question, a list of names or custom wheel options, is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us and it is not stored on any server we run.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.

Analytics

We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, which tools are popular and whether pages load quickly. This helps us fix problems and decide what to build next. We do not use analytics to identify you.

Vercel Web Analytics

Our site is hosted by Vercel, and we use Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies. It collects basic information such as the page visited, the referring website, your country, and your type of device, operating system and browser. Visits are counted with a temporary anonymous identifier that is discarded within 24 hours.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. When analytics storage is allowed, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. It collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate location based on your IP address, your device and browser type, and tool events such as a spin or a copied result. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.

You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services for more detail.

Consent for European visitors

We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default. If your device uses a European time zone, we show a small banner so you can accept or reject analytics cookies.

When analytics storage is off, Google Analytics does not set cookies. It may still receive basic signals without identifiers, such as a page view, which Google uses to model overall traffic.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies. The only cookies on this site are set by Google Analytics when analytics storage is allowed. They are first party cookies whose names start with _ga, and they last for up to two years unless you delete them.

Local storage. We save your tool settings, your history of results and your cookie choice in the local storage of your browser. This data never leaves your device and we can not see it. You can clear it with the clear button inside a tool or through your browser settings.

Your choices

  • Change your analytics cookie choice at any time with the Cookie choices button below, which is also in the footer of every page.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on.
  • Clear saved tool data from local storage in your browser settings.
  • Email us to ask about, or delete, any message you have sent us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will explain it on this page.
